I love supporting local Canadian businesses, and Phidon Pens is a stationery store based in Cambridge, Ontario. They have been in business with their brick-and-mortar shop for well over a decade but just opened their online shop last year.
With Christmas right around the corner, I wanted to create a unique gift guide that would be perfect for book & stationery lovers alike!

Here are some of the items from Phidon Pens I recommend for gifts:
Apica Notebooks – they are perfect for fountain pen users of all ages. From basic notebooks for everyday notes to the luxurious Premium CD series for journaling and creative writing, these notebooks are ink-friendly and open flat for comfortable writing.

MacLellan Books Pocket Notebooks – these are great for on-the-go writing, whether it’s to keep track of to-read lists, a hiking journal, or a project planner for home DIY projects. The paper is very ink-friendly, so it will take ballpoint, rollerball and fountain pens well. Each set comes with one lined and one dot grid notebook, so it’s quite versatile.

Caran d’Ache 849 Ballpoint Pen – these cute pens come in lots of colours, including some fun special editions. I love how easy and smooth they are to write with!
Pigeon Letter Writing Set – designed in the UK with traditional Japanese origami as an inspiration, these foldable letter kits come in lots of fun, quirky designs. One of the missions at Phidon is to encourage the art of handwritten correspondence, and I think the Pigeon sets are perfect for both grown-ups and kids to rediscover the joys of snail mail.
Shinola Medium Hardcover Notebook – these are American-made notebooks with a beautiful linen cloth hardcover. They make wonderful journals, whether for daily memory keeping, reading journals, or anything else that you want to write and re-read.

Hightide General Carrying Case (A5) – this is a handy little organizer that can store not only your writing tools but also a notebook or book (and help prevent banged-up corners in your bag). It has small organizer pockets to carry loose cards and papers as well.
See anything you like? Which ones would you love to receive as a gift?
